Homes and land
Homes and land, from the offer to the deed
Lucienne Bouchard handles this work, for buyers, sellers and neighbors with a line to settle.
Buying a house
We review the purchase agreement, read the title search with you, and sit beside you at the closing table.
Selling a house
The deed, the payoff figures and the closing papers, so the sale lands on the day you planned.
Boundaries and easements
A shared driveway, a path down to the lake, a fence in the wrong place. We put the answer in writing and record it.
Deeds within a family
Adding a spouse, passing the camp to the kids, or fixing a deed that was never quite right.
What a closing with us looks like
About a week before, you get a one-page list of what to bring and what you’ll sign. At the table we go through each paper before you sign it, and we stop whenever you have a question.
Afterward we record the deed, send you a copy, and tell you where to keep the original.

Questions about houses and land
Do I need a lawyer if I already have a real estate agent?
Your agent negotiates the sale. A lawyer reads the contract and the title for your legal interests and handles the closing papers. Many buyers have both.
What does a closing cost?
We quote our fee in writing when you hire us. Title insurance, recording fees and transfer taxes are separate charges, and we list each one before closing day.
Can you settle a dispute with a neighbor without going to court?
That’s usually where we start: a survey, a letter, and an agreement both sides sign and record.
